Zuzena™ is an off the shelf, schedule-driven testing engine designed specifically for data warehousing and business intelligence development teams. Zuzena requires that only four, high-level elements be defined using the web-based configuration function:
  • Scenarios to test, such as "happy path," dirty data, and end-of-period processing
  • Location of source data for the each scenario
  • Location of the ETL workflow or module to call
  • Location of expected results.
 Zuzena will then automatically run through all these pre-defined scenarios, repeating for each one:
  • The staging of data;
  • Execution of the appropriate ETL; and
  • The comparison of expected outcomes to actual results.
   Output logs and findings are then packaged into a set of defect reports, both summary and detailed, describing each run.
